Privacy Policy

Effective: July 2026

Glow is built so that your skin data stays yours. This policy says what happens to your data, plainly.

Face photos & our third-party AI provider

When you take a scan — or when you attach a photo to a message in the coach — that image is sent securely over HTTPS to our own backend (a Cloudflare Worker), which forwards it to Anthropic, the third-party AI company behind the Claude models, for one purpose: producing your skin analysis. Anthropic is the only third party your photo is shared with, and generating your analysis is the only reason it is shared.

Glow never stores your photo — not on your device and not on our servers. We keep only the resulting scores and notes, on your device. Anthropic processes the image solely to generate that single response and, under its commercial API terms, does not use it to train its models. Anthropic is contractually committed to protecting data submitted through its API to a standard equivalent to the protections described in this policy; see Anthropic's Privacy Policy and Commercial Terms of Service. Your photo is never used for advertising, and if the analysis fails, nothing is kept.

What we store

Your questionnaire answers, scan scores, insights, and routine are stored only on your device. Glow has no accounts and no server-side database of your skin data. The only thing our backend keeps is a short-lived, anonymous per-device counter that limits how many scans can be run (it holds no photo and no skin data, and expires automatically). We cannot see your data.

What we never do

Advertising measurement

Glow includes the Meta (Facebook) SDK for one narrow purpose: measuring which ad brought a new user to the app (an install, and — if you subscribe — that a purchase happened). This only runs if you tap Allow on the App Tracking Transparency prompt. If you decline, no advertising identifier is collected and no events are sent. Your scan photos, skin scores, and skin observations are never shared with it — only the standard install and purchase signals used to measure advertising. Meta processes these signals under its own data policies and is committed to protecting them to a standard equivalent to the protections described here; see Meta's Privacy Policy.

Biometric-adjacent data

Scan photos and derived skin observations are treated as sensitive. Capture happens only after your explicit consent (the consent screen before your first scan), and only ever to power the features you asked for.

Deleting your data

Settings → Privacy → Delete all my data erases your profile, answers, scans, and routine from the device instantly. Deleting the app does the same.

Notifications

Daily scan reminders are scheduled locally on your device. Turn them off anytime in iOS Settings.

Subscriptions

Payments are processed by Apple. We receive no payment details. Manage or cancel in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.

Not medical advice

Glow provides a cosmetic description of your skin's appearance. It is not a medical device, makes no diagnoses, and is not a substitute for professional care. If a skin concern persists or worries you, see a dermatologist.

Age

Glow is intended for users 13 and older.
